THIS IS THE RIGHT WAY TO USE OUR GOURMET SCRUBS:

ARI, OUR LICENSED ESTHETICIAN WEIGHS IN ON HOW TO PROPERLY USE OUR GOURMET SUGAR SCRUBS AND BREAKS DOWN WHY IT ISN’T SAFE TO USE ON YOUR FACE.

When it comes to exfoliating, there are two ways to get the job done: Chemically & Physically. Today, we’re focusing on physical exfoliators. Physical Exfoliators (like sugar scrubs) are made from tiny granules of sugar that do all the heavy lifting. By gently buffing away dead skin cells and encouraging cell turnover without leaving your skin red and raw...Our sugar scrubs are the best of both worlds! Loaded with nourishing oils, butters & Vitamin E to lock in moisture after a fabulous exfoliating session. Bathing with a GSO Sugar scrub is a pleasurable way of exfoliating the skin. From the distinctive aroma to the rich texture, a sugar scrub brings forth a sense of ritual in your beauty routine.

IS IT SAFE FOR YOUR FACE?

In a nutshell, no. The skin on your face is different from the skin on the rest of your body. The skin on your body is much thicker whereas the skin on your face is thin. Using a body scrub on the face can damage your facial skin. Our faces can’t handle the amount of grit and particles, it could cause irritation or even small scratches. Both areas indeed need to be exfoliated...That's why GSO has created and successfully launched their first two facial scrubs "Queen Nefertiti" & "Smitty's Chocolate Eclair" to fulfill all your skincare needs! Because the skin on our face is more sensitive and delicate, facial scrubs should contain finer & softer particles than body scrubs.

HOW OFTEN SHOULD YOU USE A FACIAL SCRUB?

While exfoliation can offer many skin benefits, you don't want to over-exfoliate your face.

If you have oily skin, it's safe to gently exfoliate up to 4x weekly or daily depending on your skin sensitivity. If you have sensitive, acne-prone, or dry skin, you may want to avoid exfoliating more than 3x a week.
